Del Potro fit for French Open
Juan Martin del Potro has confirmed he will play at the French Open.
The former US Open champion had been a major doubt to recover from a torn hip muscle after withdrawing from the Madrid Masters earlier this month.
Del Potro, who missed much of last season with a wrist injury, has climbed to 27th in the world rankings having dropped as low as 485 at the end of 2010.
"It's a lot of effort, but we're getting there. See you in Paris," Del Potro posted on his Twitter page.
Fellow Argentine David Nalbandian has already been ruled out of the French Open, while the women's draw will be without Venus and Serena Williams.
