Paul di Resta says he will be dealing with some "added pressure" when he takes part in his first British Grand Prix on Sunday.

10405 - 'Added pressure' for di Resta

Di Resta was a test driver for Force India last year so was able to get time on track during the first Friday practice session at Silverstone in 2010. That allowed him to soak up the atmosphere over the rest of the weekend, but having now made the transition to one of the team's race drivers, di Resta is aware that he will have to focus on the job at hand.

"Last year was incredible," Di Resta told Sporting Life. "I was the first out onto the track in Friday practice, and even then the grandstands were full. What a sight it was to see that. I know it's hard to believe, but I could still feel the atmosphere and see what was happening in the grandstands on my installation lap.

"The place was just alive the whole weekend. I'm sure it will be the same again this year, and hopefully things will run very smoothly. But I understand this year there'll be a bit more added pressure. It means I won't be enjoying the atmosphere as much as I have done in the past. It will be a working weekend for me."
