Nadal determined to bounce back in 2012
Rafael Nadal has vowed to fight hard to rediscover his best form in 2012.
Spanish world No. 2 Nadal has had a disappointing year by his own lofty standards, although he did win the French Open for the sixth time. His poor campaign was summed up when he tumbled out of the ATP World Tour Finals in the group stage - and came off court admitting his passion for the game had dipped.
Nadal has one more task in 2011, to help Spain see off Argentina in the final of the Davis Cup. Following this weekend's action, Nadal can head off for an extended break to recharge the batteries before an assault on the Australian Open in January.
He is in no mood to make excuses for his disappointing run of form, instead suggesting that he is ready to dig deep.
"We can find excuses, we can find problems, but it's not the moment to say that - it's the moment to keep fighting," Nadal, 25, said.
"The end of the year wasn't easy for me; that's hard to accept. But it gives me more of a goal for the beginning of 2012. I dream about arriving in 2012 with very good conditions.
"It's true that this season has been tough. More than a lack of passion, it is a weariness from many years of playing at this level, week after week."
