Frimpong, 19, has been tipped for a bright future, but he has made just three Premier League starts for Arsenal this season.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has now seen fit to send the Ghanaian on a temporary move to top-flight counterparts Wolves, whose boss Mick McCarthy confirmed the deal after his side's 1-1 draw at Bolton.

Frimpong will spend the remainder of the season at Molineux, where he will hope increased playing time will aid his development and push for a regular role when he returns to the Emirates in the summer.
