Carlo Ancelotti hints at Tevez swoop
Paris Saint Germain boss Carlo Ancelotti has done little to quell speculation that the Ligue 1 side are lining up a bid for Carlos Tevez, claiming the Manchester City striker is "a player I really like".
Tevez, 27, was on the brink of joining AC Milan this week but a move broke down after Rossoneri forward Alexandre Pato decided to stay at the San Siro.
Pato had been the subject of a bid from PSG, with Ancelotti keen to bring his former player to the Parc des Princes. But after missing out on the Brazilian, the Parisiens boss now appears to have turned his attention to Tevez.
"Tevez is a player I really like, he is fantastic," Ancelotti said. "If we want to play at a high level, we must act well in the market, looking for players who can give us a hand."
PSG are thought to be willing to meet City's £25 million askng price for the wantaway Argentinian, who has not played a game for the club since refusing to warm-up during a Champions League clash with Bayern Munich in October.
Inter Milan and Corinthians are also still interested in acquiring Tevez, while his representative Kia Joorabchian has claimed that Milan may still re-enter negotiations, despite their official statements to the contrary.
