Short Poem: An Appeal to Death.

Death
Who are you?
Where do you come from?
Where will you take me?
Is the way long?
Is it too dark?

I do claim to be brave
And yet am afraid
For I know not
What's beyond it.

Death
I do some times
Expect you
And at times hope
You would never come
If you must take me
Do be merciful
Take me where no one can hurt me
Or cause me pain
And I have an appeal
Do please be kind
And let me sleep...
As in my childhood I did.
