Commentator Rameez Raja was never fined by the ICC

According to latest news coming from Dhaka, Bangladesh, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has strongly reacted to the news item published in some unknown internet sites, claiming that the world cricketing body had slapped a fine and a harsh warning on Pakistan commentator Rameez Raja for violating level 1 breach of the ICC code of conduct for commentators during the mega scoring match between Pakistan and India in the Asia Cup 2012.

ICC spokesperson, while talking to the press said, “Such claims are outrageous as we did not and shall not fine Raja for a violation that he is not accused of by us.”

According to the ICC, the news item is based on pure fabrication and is an act to malign the credibility of ICC’s top commentator.

Meanwhile, Raja reacted strongly to the accusation levelled against him and insisted that the members of (Ravi) Shastri clan were behind the fiasco.

According to Raja, who talked to this scribe via a social networking website from Bangladesh, Shastri was not hired by the ICC for commentating in the Asian mega event and this irked the former Indian cricketer after which with the help of India’s premier intelligence agency, Retards At Work (RAW), he launched a naked assault on the internet against the Pakistan commentator.

According to the website, the ISI wanted a better representation of India in the mega tournament for which Sunil Gavaskar was chosen as the best candidate. According to sources, ISI wants a softer image of India in the world of cricket after India exhibited bitter rivalry against their nuclear neighbour and refused to play cricket for eternity.

However, Gavaskar being a humble individual, clarified that he only wished for better relations with Pakistan and for that he had been training upcoming commentators from Pakistan to increase the number of Pakistani commentators in international cricket.

Coming in support of Raja, his former skipper Imran Khan insisted that a Rameez tsunami swept the Asia Cup, which has left India with an inferiority complex. #tag9# believes that Raja is the best commentator from Asia along with his protégé Wasim Akram, who is busy coaching Indian commentators working for their local sports channel.

Khan opined that both countries should exchange trainers which would increase competition and improve the level of commentary in both nations.

However, flamboyant Amir Sohail reacted sharply and urged his former opening partner to take legal action against the members of the Shastri clan and ensure an international embargo on commentators from India.

India’s only in form batsman, Virat Kohli, however, refused to talk to this scribe as he was quoted in the news piece for supporting the return of Shastri. He refused to verify if he was an active member of the clan and practiced Shastrism.
