LAHORE: Pakistan Hockey Federation has decided to appoint the former Olympian Hassan Sardar as Chairman of hockey team’s selection committee.
According to sources, PHF President Qasim Zia is likely to announce his name at a press conference today.
It may be recalled here that Hassan Sardar had also served the hockey team as captain. He also earned a gold medal during Summer Olympics in Los Angeles in 1984.
Sardar is ranked among the best center forwards in history of Pakistan’s hockey. He also owns the world record of scoring the highest number of goals (11) in one match.
