Rafael Nadal continued his dominance in Barcelona and extended his perfect record over Fernando Verdasco to book his place in the Barcelona Open final.

The world No. 2 remains on course for a seventh title at the event as he demolished the ninth seed with a 6-0 6-4 victory.

Verdasco has never beaten Nadal in 13 previous meetings, and had never take a set off Nadal in six matches on clay.

Nadal will play compatriot David Ferrer in the final as the Spaniards continued their dominance in the event - an all-Spanish final ensures the title will be won by a home player for the tenth successive year.

Ferrer, a three-time finalist in Barcelona, beat Milos Raonic in two tight sets to set up a repeat of last year's final.
