    magar qarar se din kat rahe hon yun bhi nahin

    lab-o-dahan bhi mila guftagu ka fun bhi mila

    magar jo dil pe guzarati hai kah sakun bhi nahin

    meri zuban ki luknat se badguman na ho

    jo tu kahe to tujhe umr bhar milun bhi nahin

    ‘Faraz’ jaise koi diya turbat-e-hava chahe hai

    tu pas aye to mumkin hai main rahun bhi nahin…
