THE HARDEST-HITTING punchline always proceeds from the lips of the most innocent-looking face! No, do not be alarmed, this isn�t a brilliant quote from the top ventriloquist, Jeff Dunham. Neither is it a proverb in the standard Oxford. It�s just raw experience. The man who strikes fear in the top competitors of the laugh factory is always the one who you would blindly trust with your purse, while you look for the car keys in your pocket! And Kashif Khan fits the bill to the last figure on the dotted lines!

Last week, I was watching the still kiddish-looking boy on the Uncle Sargam Show, being haggled by two of the senior-most men, Ashraf Khan, and Farooq Qaiser, one personally, and the other from behind the well-known mask! Obviously, he is extraordinarily gifted, and even Tanvir Khan, a very experienced man from the Karachi stage was impressed by Kashif on his debut, at least five years ago. In fact, Tanvir, dressed up as a cop, was in such distress at the mile-long answers from Kashif, that he decided to leave the constabulary in the skit he planned with the talented kid. From that beginning of churning out words at a million-miles-a-second, Kashif has truly become a stunning comic, since he has worked innovatively on the Indian channels. Even today, he is in India, working in the Sony Comedy Circus, which he has already won once in his early days of participation.

Kashif stunned viewers again, when he continued on the merry-go-round of his electric delivery of words in the famous Nadia Khan Show. In fact, these days, he is pondering on film offers from India. But, that kind of thing has two handles. If he has to work in Indian films, he must take care that he gets a role that doesn�t corrupt his style, nor damage his reputation as a very clean and pleasant comic.
