SHAKING his leg with Hema Malini’s trendy daughter, Isha Deol, Shoaib had a devilish li’l smile on his face. He did look like marking his run up before a fiery outburst, but to be sure, he was on a dance floor, and itching to swing into the mood!


Well, to tell you the truth, the fact is that anybody dancing with hot babe, Isha would have a nerve or two tingling for any flaw that he or she may expose. I mean she is Hema’s daughter, for heaven’s sake! The lady could make trees sway without breeze, when she hit the sum! Hema has classical basics, and did not just learn on the job. I know Isha isn’t that attached to classical dance, but her abilities of twisting a leg to western beats is second to none. So, Shoaib better watch out, lest his big toe stubs her little chichi!

People tell me Shoaib is not gunning for a tall, dark and handsome role in Bollywood, lekin uska kya aitebar! Write your story, don’t trouble yourself over what he says. Within a week, you could hear that he is picturizing a song by Adnan Sami, with Isha, in a film titled Howz That! That boy has immense talent for catching the public eye. Otherwise, tell me, who could survive so many years after leaving the field in the first test of every series, and not returning till the end! And one espies much style in this chap. He has all the chocolate charm, although I suspect he would be slotted as the villain, because his devilish smile gives him away. As for delivering a mean dialogue, if he takes a good run up, he can do that also.
It’s true that Shoaib emits more punch lines than expletives in his daily life. No doubt, it was Waseem Akram, who used to bowl six different balls in six deliveries, but it is Shoaib, who will outsmart anybody with his ten different statements in a single day! And on top of that, he’d say, very innocently, “When did I say that? Naheen, naheen sir, somebody quoted me wrong, I swear to God!”

So, don’t try to fox trot with him, he’ll slam your wicket down to fine leg!
