Balochistan governor rule to expire tonight
QUETTA: The coalition government of Balochistan led by Nawab Aslam Raisani would stand restored tonight after 12:00 am as governor rule imposed in the violence-ridden province has completed its two months term.
A joint sitting of the parliament is required to endorse extension for the governor rule, which was imposed by the president, invoking article 234 of the Constitution for two months in the aftermath of Alamdar road bombing.
The Balochistan Assembly will complete its tenure on April 5. Federal minister Israrullah Zehri on Wednesday said Aslam Raisani would nominate caretaker chief minister.
