    Jis basti mai koi zulm na ho

    wahan phool khushi k khilte hon

    Umeed hai aisi basti ki jahan jhoot ka karobaar na ho
    dehshat ka bhi bazar na ho

    jeena bhi dushwar na ho
    marna bhi azaar na no

    yeh basti kash tumhari ho
    yeh basti kash humari ho

    wahan khon ki holi aam na ho
    Us angan mai gham ki shaam na ho

    jahan munsif se insaf millay
    dill sab ka sab se saaf millay

    ek aas hai aisi basti ki
    jahan bhook se roti sasti ho
