Poem Of The Day 9th October 2013
LEAFLESS TREE
Once, I bloomed in spring,
My essence was smiling.
In me birds had sung,
When days were young.
Love’s clouds overcastted,
Under shelter people rested.
My green leaves were shinning,
When, when there was spring.
Then, autumn snatched leaves,
A killed smile given grieves.
Oh! And I lost my bloom,
Got soulful tears & gloom.
Now, over me birds weep,
Hollowed inside, no sleep.
People pass, listen not my cries,
Stare my wood with greedy eyes.
For shroud, I am very sad,
Dear, Traveller, I am dead!
Once, I bloomed in spring,
My existence was smiling,
Once! Once, I had bloomed!
