Iman is Sincerity


The Messenger Of Allah (Sallalahu Alaihi Wassalam) Said : “ Iman is Sincerity.” The Sahabah (Radi Allahu Anhum) Asked : “ Towards Whom ? ” He (Sallalahu Alaihi Wassalam) Replied : “ Towards Allah, His Books, His Messengers, The [Muslim] Leaders And All Ordinary Muslims.” [ Muslim ]

It is Evident From This Hadith That Iman is Not Just An Abstract Feeling Or A Personal Belief, But Rather, it Calls For A Believer To Be Honest And Sincere in Meeting His Obligations Towards Allah, His Divine Guidance, His Messenger And The Muslim Ummah At Large.

A Mother Has Three Daughters Who All Profess To Love Her. She Asks Them For A Glass Of Water. One Outright Refuses To Get it For Her. Another Keeps Smiling At The Mother But Doesn’t Budge. The Third Jumps Up And Quickly Returns With The Water. Which One Of The Three Daughters is Sincere in Her Declaration Of Love ?

Hadhrat Anas (radiallahu anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: “You cannot have total Imaan as long as you do not love me more than your father, children and all people.” (Bukhari, Muslim-Mishkaat)

Hadhrat Anas (radiallahu anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: “A man cannot be perfect of Imaan as long as his love for me is not more than his love for his whole family and for all people.” (Muslim)

A Muslim must love and respect all those who are the beloved of Allah Ta’ala and His Rasool (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) even though that person may be his enemy.

He must disrespect and hate all those who disrespect and hate Allah Ta’ala and His Rasool (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) even if that person may be his beloved son.

Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam)states: "One who loves for Allah, hates anyone because of Allah, spends for Allah and holds back for Allah, then, indeed, he has completed his Imaan."

at the end of your post, you have asked us a question and I am sure many of us missed this.... for me the one who is SINCERE to mother and been quick in responding to her call and loving someone also demands action.... without action there is no love!!!
