exclaim Merry Christmas kehna kaisa hai ??

Question: Merry Christmas kehna kaisa hai ?? Aur Iske meaning kya hai ??

Answer : Agar hum kisi christian friend ko**merry christmas** kehte hain to hume pata bhi nahi chalega aur hum islam se bedakhal ho Jayenge. Kyonki christian Nouzubillah Isa (ALAIHI SALAM) ko ALLAH ka beta maante hai aur unke paida hone ki khushi mein christmas celebrate karte hain.. Jab ke khud ALLAH TALAH Sureh Ikhlaas mein farmata hai:- "Aap keh dijiye ke wo (ALLAH) ek hi hain. ALLAH Taala beniyaaz hai, Na isse koi paida hua na wo kisi se paida hua, Aur na koi iska humsar hai. (Sureh Ikhlaas)

Merry Christmas Kehna is baat ki Dalil hai k Aap Christians k Aqeede ko Tasleem kerte hain Aur mante ho k Allah ka Beta Hai ..Astaghfirullah!!

According to Christianity, Hazrat Isa (Jesus) alaihi Salama is the only begotten son of God (Astagfirullah) & Christmas is celebrated as his birthday. Since this is considered as the biggest abuse given to God, Muslims are not allowed to wish Christians on this day. Because Quran Says “Say: He is Allah the One and Only; Allah the Eternal Absolute; He begets not nor is He begotten; and there is none like unto Him.”

Congratulating the kuffaar on their religious festivals is haraam to the extent described by Ibn al-Qayyim because it implies that one accepts or approves of their rituals of kufr, even if one would not accept those things for oneself. But the Muslim should not aceept the rituals of kufr or congratulate anyone else for them, because Allaah does not accept any of that at all, as He says (interpretation of the meaning): "If you disbelieve, then verily, Allaah is not in need of you, He likes not disbelief for His slaves. And if you are grateful (by being believers), He is pleased therewith for you. . ." [al-Zumar 39:7] ". . . This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islaam as your religion . . ." [al-Maa’idah 5:3]

So congratulating them is forbidden, whether they are one’s colleagues at work or otherwise. If they greet us on the occasion of their festivals, we should not respond, because these are not our festivals, and because they are not festivals which are acceptable to Allaah.

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

"Whoever seeks a religion other than Islaam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers." [Aal ‘Imraan 3:85] It is haraam for a Muslim to accept invitations on such occasions, because this is worse than congratulating them as it implies taking part in their celebrations. Similarly, Muslims are forbidden to imitate the kuffaar by having parties on such occasions, or exchanging gifts, or giving out sweets or food, or taking time off work, etc., because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Whoever imitates a people is one of them."

    Reality of Christmas

No one knows the real birthday of Jesus! No date is given in the Bible, so why christian celebrate it on the 25th December? The early Christians certainly had many arguments as to when it should be celebrated! Also, the birth of Jesus probably didn't happen in the year 1AD but slightly earlier, somewhere between 2BC and 7BC (there isn't a 0AD - the years go from 1BC to 1AD!).

    Calendar showing 25th December

The first recorded date of Christmas being celebrated on December 25th was in 336AD, during the time of the Roman Emperor Constantine (he was the first Christian Roman Emperor). A few years later, Pope Julius I officially declared that the birth of Jesus would be celebrated on the 25th December.

Most of the world uses the 'Gregorian Calendar' implemented by Pope Gregory XIII in 1582. Before that the 'Roman' or Julian Calendar was used (named after Julius Caesar). The Gregorian calendar is more accurate that the Roman calendar which had too many days in a year! When the switch was made 10 days were lost, so that the day that followed the 4th October 1582 was 15th October 1582. In the UK the change of calendars was made in 1752. The day after 2nd September 1752 was 14th September 1752.

Many Orthodox and Coptic Churches still use the Julian Calendar and so celebrate Christmas on the 7th January (which is when December 25th would have been on the Julian calendar). And the Armenian Apostolic Church celebrates it on the 6th January! In some part of the UK, January 6th is still called 'Old Christmas' as this would have been the day that Christmas would have celebrated on, if the calendar hadn't been changed. Some people didn't want to use the new calendar as they thought it 'cheated' them out of 11 days!

St Augustine was the person who really started Christmas in the UK by introducing Christianity in the 6th century. He came from countries that used the Roman Calendar, so western countries celebrate Christmas on the 25th December. Then people from Britain and Western Europe took Christmas on the 25th December all over the world!

    About Santa Claus

As per christian tradition Santa Claus, also known as Saint Nicholas, Father Christmas, Kris Kringle and simply "Santa" is generally depicted as a portly, joyous, white-bearded man, wearing a red coat with white collar and cuffs, white-cuffed red trousers, and black leather belt and boots and who carries a bag full of gifts for children on December 24, the night before Christmas. It is a false belief. In Islam there in no concept of Santa. According to Shari'ah, lying is not permitted. Our purely monotheistic Shari'ah warns against lying in the Quran and Sunnah, and there is consensus that it is haram. The liar will have bad consequences in this world and in the next.

We ask Allah azwajal to protect us from Haraam thigs and grant us all true guidance and forgive us all, Aameen.
