    Wo darya saray utar gaye , Ab un rutton ki fizaa nahi

    Mere lab pe harf-e-gila nahi , ye naseeb-e-jaan ke hain silsilay
    Mujhe jo mila meri bebasi , meri zindagi mein wafa nahi

    Wo jo tere mere tha darmiyaan , wo khawab tha k saraab tha
    Jo suna wo tum ne kaha nahi , jo kaha wo tum ne suna nahi

    Meri zindagi ki kitaab mein , Bari hasraton ke hain silsilay
    Mera hamsafar jo khayal tha , sar-e-warq uss ko likha nahi

    "Aqeel" kya kahoon k wo kaun tha , koi sath mere pas tha
    Mujhe yaad hai wo zara zara , Kahan gya ye pata nahi...!!!
