    رنگ و بو کے میلے سے دور ہیں کھڑے گم صم!۔
    Ù…Ø+فلِ طرَب ہے واں،جشن ہے چراغاں ہے
    پر ہماری نگری یاں ،خامشی میں ہے ڈوبی
    اب بھی آس کے تن پر ،ہے ردائے بوسیدہ!۔
    اب بھی دل کا موسم ہے بےپناہ افسردہ
    زیست کا سفینہ ہے اک طرف رواں تنہا
    منزلیں ہیں انجانی،لاپتہ مقام اپنا
    غم کی جھیل میں ہم سے کھو گیا نشاں اپنا
    جب سے ہم نے کھویا ہے ایک مہرباں اپنا
    ہمسفر کہاں ہے تو!۔
    دے کوئی پتہ اپنا!۔
    آج اگر توُ مل جائے
    تب ہمیں بھی اے ہمدم!۔
    سالِ نو کی سب خوشیوں کی نوید مل جائے
    منزلوں کو پانے کی۔۔۔
    طاقِ آرزو میں بس اک شمع جلانے کی ۔۔
    اک امید مل جائے
