Mawra Hocane has made the journey to neighbouring India, reportedly to make a name for herself in the Indian film industry.
Whether it be Pakistani male heartthrobs Fawad Khan, Ali Zafar or female actresses such as Veena Malik, Mahira Khan and Mona Lisa, Bollywood seems to be within the sights of every superstar. The most recent Pakistani artist to cross the border in search of a project seems to be Mawra, renowned Pakistani model and TV actress.
Mawra posted pictures of herself on en route and during her stay in Mumbai. In one click she seems to be posing from inside the airplane scheduled to take her to Mumbai. Another picture from her account clearly displayed a shot of her ticket and the relevant details regarding her flight.
Like many of her contemporaries who have begun to make their art known in India, Mawra has also established herself first in Pakistan as a worthy actress before deciding to go to B-Town's headquarters in search of scripts. She has starred in 'Yahan Pyar Nahi Hai', 'Ek Tamanna Lahasil Si', 'Kitni Girhain Baqi Hain' and 'Main Bushra'.
Let's hope Mawra finds a good project in Mumbai and also establishes herself as a leading actress in India. Her younger sister Urwa Hocane has previously let it known that she doesn't need to look elsewhere for work except Pakistan.
