In happier times: Bigg Boss 7 winner Gauhar Khan and her boyfriend Kushal Tandon remained in news all through the time that the reality show was being aired.
While her much-talked about relationship with ex-boyfriend, actor Kushal Tandon, was quite public, actor Gauahar Khan now wants to guard her personal life. The two had started dating during their stint in the Bigg Boss house, but split after almost a year.
"Even if there is something in my private life, it will remain just with me. I saw that sometimes fans go overboard while talking about an actor's personal life. So now, I will make sure to keep private life, private," says Gauahar, who is now currently single, "happy and focusing on professional life".
Talking about work, Gauahar, who has just completed shooting for her Punjabi debut film, says that she would love to do more regional films in the future.
"I think if I love the script and it really excites me, then I would love to be part of these projects. I don't mind exploring the regional cinema in the South either," says the actor, who has also done some Bollywood films such as Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year (2009).
Interestingly, the language barrier doesn't seem to bother Gauahar. "The makers were surprised when I offered to dub for the film on my own. My co-star Jassi (Gill) helped me out a lot. I was happy when those who saw the final cut of the film thought this wasn't my first Punjabi film," she says.
