LONDON: The inaugural cricket Champions League Twenty20 tournament has become a question mark and it may be postponed till the end of the next year due to busy international cricket calendar.
A British magazine quoted sources of the Champions League organizing committee as saying that the organizers had not yet decided when to hold the inaugural edition of the tournament.
The organizers want the event to be played from January 5 to 15 January but doubts have been raised about the organization of the event as the Australian domestic Twenty20 tournament would be played during that time.
Besides, a One-day International series between South Africa and Australia would also be played in Australia from the January 16 to 30, 2009.
Thus, the players of Australia and South Africa will not get any break between the Champions League and the ODI series.
