Ahead of a special presentation on Sept 7, at which the iPhone 7 is expected to be revealed, Apple has increased the upper limit on optional iCloud storage up to 2 terabytes.

A monthly plan priced at US$19.99 (RM81) covers the 2TB limit for file storage backups, while previous tiers for 50GB (US$0.99/RM4), 200GB (US$2.99/RM12) and 1TB (US$9.99/RM40) remain.

Following a previously established ratio linking iCloud storage and iPhone internal storage, the move accompanies the launch of a 256GB iPad Pro.
