KARACHI: A mega movie project Parwaaz Hay Junoon, paying tributes to the Pakistan Air Force, was announced during a press conference held in Karachi today.
Highlighting the men and women behind the flying machines, this local take, similar to Iconic Hollywood hit of the 1980’s, will feature Hamza Ali Abbasi and Osman Khalid Butt in the lead roles.
Taking the centre stage as our very own Maverick like Tom Cruise in the Top Gun style film, Hamza plays a fighter pilot in the upcoming venture. Arguably the most talked about and followed celebrity, the award-winning actor is proud to be an integral part of a project that entertains and serves the country simultaneously.
On the other hand, speaking about his debut role in the film, Osman Khalid Butt also gave little insight into his character without revealing too much.
Written by renowned novelist
writer Farhat Ishtiaq, the film marks the directorial debut of Haseeb Hassan who has impressed viewers with his numerous hits on Television.
Speaking on the occasion about his upcoming mega budget movie, Hassan revealed that to enhance the authenticity, other than the main leads, most of the supporting roles are to be played by real-time cadets and fighter pilots.
