Jessica Alba says a healthy diet is more important to stay slim than a rigrous workout.
Actress Jessica Alba says a healthy diet is more important to stay slim than a rigrous workout. The 35-year-old actress said she prefers to stick to a diet which is low in sugar and carbs, reported US magazine.
“With exercise, I get a little more toned and I definitely feel stronger, but my diet is much more important if I’m trying to slim down. “In that case, I usually don’t eat gluten, dairy, fried foods or processed foods. I try to stick to a diet that’s low in sugar and carbs and high in lean protein and vegetables,â€
Alba said.
The Sin City star said she does not hit the gym every day and is happy if she is able to keep it regular. “If I work out four times, I consider it a successful week. But it’s typically more like two to three days a week because that’s what I have time for.
I take Spin or hot yoga classes in the morning, and I sacrifice sleep to fit them in. For me, the benefits of exercise are more mental than physical. Working out takes away that little edge so that I feel happier and more productive and my brain can get kick started,†she said.
Jessica also says she and her husband are a huge fan of her Mechanic: Resurrection co-star Jason Statham. The 35-year-old star said Statham is one of the best action heroes in the industry right now, reported FemaleFirst.
“My husband and I are both fans of Jason Statham. I love action movies and think he’s one of the best- if not the best – action stars right now.
“I mean, what Jason can do with his body is insane. He’s better than some stunt people that I’ve worked with. I thought it would just be fun, frankly, and such a different thing to my day-to-day,†she said in an interview.
