PESHAWAR: Trials to select Pakistan squad for the forthcoming First Asian Martial Arts Championship will be held on January 16 in Lahore, according to Col Rana Shujaat Ali, President of the Pakistan Judo Federation.
National teams of both men and women will represent Pakistan in the First Asian Martial Arts Championship, which will be held at Bangkok, Thailand in May this year.
The selection of the women team for the camp has already been finalized as the first and second position holders in each weights of the recently concluded third ANF National Women Judo Championship, held in Islamabad, will be invited for the camp.
The training camps for men and women will be setup in Islamabad for which services of qualified coaches will be hired.
Col Rana Shujaat Ali praised the Secretary of the association Masood Ahmad and his team for organizing the women’s event in Islamabad in befitting manner.
He said that a Chinese female coach would be coming to impart training and coaching.
