DUBAI: Chief executive International Cricket Council (ICC) Haroon Lorgat said that the council is facing the challenges of corruption, players' match load and their security.
On the occasion of the ICC centenary celebrations in Sydney, Haroon Lorgat told that the ICC is set to meet all these challenges.
He said that despite all these challenges, the game is financially strong and in the best spirit.
Lorgat said that cricket is the only game which is played under three different formats on international level.
He said that the ICC as a governing body would provide the member countries an amount of $300 million for development of cricket.
Citing an example of emerging young cricketers, he said that the future of cricket is bright.
