DOUBLE LAYERED SALAD
Ingredients:
For the salad dressing:
Curd (hung for two hours) 2 cups
Fresh cream 1 cup
Mustard powder 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Milk as required
First layer of salad:
Boiled macaroni finely chopped 1 cup
Cucumber 4 cups
Grated cheese ½ cup
Second layer of salad:
Red chana (soaked in water and boiled) 1 cup
Tomato puree 1 cup
Salt to taste
Method:
Beat the hung curd till it becomes smooth. Add salt, mustard powder, milk and cream to it. Mix well. Divide this dressing into two parts. Add boiled macaroni, chopped cucumber and grated cheese to the first part. To the second, add boiled chana mixed with tomato puree and salt. In a shallow tray, arrange the macaroni and cucumber layer. On top of it, arrange the chana and tomato puree layer. Garnish with cream and serve.
