PORT-OF-SPAIN: The West Indies and Sri Lanka will take contrasting strategies into Thursday's one-day international that initiates a three-match series at Queen's Park Oval.
The home team has retained all of its players from the two-match test series that ended 1-1 on Sunday. But the Sri Lankans have sent seven of their test squad home, replacing them with a number of new faces to boost their challenge.
Among the seven new Sri Lankans are batsmen Upul Tharanga, JehanMubarak, Chamara Kapugedera and Mahela Udawatte.
The home side has called all rounder Keiron Pollard who has represented the home side in the World Cup.
