Sri Lankan cricket team arrives Karachi
KARACHI: The Sri Lankan cricket team has arrived at the Quaid-e-Azam International Airport Karachi here at 5am in the morning.
They will be playing a series of two Test matches against Pakistan while the conditioning camp of the Pakistan team is also beginning today here at the Steel Mills ground.
Lankan skipper Mahela Jayawardene and players are scheduled to hold press meeting at 3:30pm today at a local hotel here.
The training camp of the Pakistan cricket team for the preparation of the two Tests against Sri Lanka is beginning on Sunday at the Quaid-e-Azam Cricket Park of the Pakistan Steel Mills, 35 miles away from the city.
Guests will open their account with their two-day match against Pattern’s Eleven on February 17 at Defence Stadium Karachi.
The Pakistani probable players have reported at the camp and the team will practice in morning and evening sessions.
The first Test of the two-match series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka will begin from February 21 at the National Stadium in Karachi.
