Bhola Bhala retains Rustam-e-Pakistan title

LAHORE: Bashir Bhola Bhala has defended his title of Rustam-e-Pakistan as he knocked out Hamid Pahlwan Multani here at the Punjab Stadium on Sunday.

In all, 15 pairs contested in the Rustam-e-Pakistan Dangal, witnessed bu a large number of spectators.

The bout for the title of Rustam-e-Pakistan lasted only 17 minutes as experienced Rustam-e-Punjab Bashir Bhola Bhala despite a shoulder injury outclassed Fakhr-e-Multan Hamid Pahlwan, younger than him to successfully defended his title.

The Pakistan Wrestling Federation has announced that in the view of extra-ordinary interest by the people, this dangal would be now a regular feature and would be held annually.

The federation also announced to hold the Rustam-e-Punjab Dangal on March 8.

The winners among other pairs, participated in the Dangal, were Pappu Pahlwan Lahoria, Israr Pahlwan, Ranjha Pahlwan, Khurram Pahlwan, Ali Pahlwan, Shah Pahlwan, Mitthu Pahlwan, Jani Pahlwan, Irshad Pahlwan and Zahid Pahlwan.
