ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Sports Pir Aftab Hussain Shah Jilani has said that security agencies and PCB were responsible for Sri Lankan team’s security and not the Ministry of Sports.

Talking to media during his visit to PTF Tennis Complex on Thursday along with, he said Governor Punjab cannot be blamed for the attack of Sri Lankan team.

On the occasion, President Pakistan Tennis Federation Senator Syed Dilawar Abbas briefed the Minister about the newly-built Tennis Complex.

The Minister appreciated the tireless efforts of Senator Syed Dilawar Abbas in building this International standard tennis complex in Pakistan.

The Minister agreed to the request of Senator Syed Dilawar Abbas for special grant of Rs.10 million for further improving the facility, it was officially learnt.

DG PSB announced to construct two additional synthetic courts at PTF Tennis Complex. Senator Syed Dilawar Abbas thanked the Federal Minister Pir Aftab Hussain Shah Jilani and DG PSB Syed Amir Hamza Gillani for visiting the Complex and extending their all out support for the promotion of tennis in Pakistan.

Secretary Sports Muhammad Ashraf Khan and Director General Syed Amir Hamza Gillani accompanied the Sports Minister.
