NEW DELHI: The second season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has become a question mark as the Maharashtra police has refused to provide any security to the IPL matches.
DG Police Maharashtra said that the police officials deployed for making security arrangements in the elections could not be loaded with the security for the IPL and it would be better to postpone the IPL tournament till the elections.
Meanwhile, IPL commissioner Lalith Modi avoided to comment on the statement of the DG Maharashtra Police.
However, the IPL officials are considering to arrange bullet-proof buses for the players during the event.
