LAHORE: The WAPDA won the National Wrestling Championship with six gold medals while the Pakistan Army and the Railways secured the second and the third position, respectively here at the National Coaching & Training Centre on Tuesday.
On the final day of the two-day event, the WAPDA wrestlers dominated the scene by winning six gold medals and a silver to obtain the first position with 69 points.
The Pakistan Army came second with one gold, two silver and four bronze medals while the Railways stood third with two silver and three bronze medals.
The wrestlers succeeded on the final day were Mohammad Aamer in 96 kg category and Bashir Bholabhala in 120 kg.
