    CAPE TOWN: Delhi Daredevils captain Virender Sehwag won the toss Sunday and elected to field in the rain-delayed Indian Premier League match against Kings XI Punjab.

    The start of the match at Newlands was stopped several times by rain.

    Former Australia opening bowler Glenn McGrath failed to be included in Delhi''s team, while Australia paceman Brett Lee has been ruled out of the Punjab side due to an injured foot.

    Deccan Chargers outplays Kolkata Knight Riders by eight wickets

    CAPE TOWN: Deccan Chargers easily defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by eight wickets in the second match of the second day in the Indian Premier League here in Newlands on Sunday late night.

    They achieved an easy target of 102 runs in only 13 overs losing just two wickets with the help of a third wicket unbeaten partnership of 69 runs between Hershalle Gibbs (43) and man-of-the-match Rohit Sharma (36).

    Earlier, the KKR winning the toss and electing to bat could not play against the accurate bowling by Deccan Chargers and was bundled out for only 101 runs in the third match of the Indian Premier League here on Sunday night.

    The highest score for the KKR was 31 made by Brad Hodge as only three other batsmen could get into double figures.

    For Deccan Challengers, Rudra Pratap was the main destroyer who captured four wickets for 22 runs while Pragyan Ojha and Scott Styris claimed two wickets each for 14 and 32, respectively.

    CAPE TOWN: Kings XI Punjab has set a winning target of 159 runs for Kolkata Knight Riders on the fourth day in the Indian Premier League match here on Tuesday.

    After Kolkata captain Brendon McCullum won the toss and elected to field first, Kings XI Punjab scored 158 runs for the loss of six wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

    The main scorers for Punjab were their captain Yuvraj Singh (38), Irfan Pathan (32) and Mahela Jayawardene (31 not out), Kumar Singakkara (26). Other batsmen could not make any significant contribution.

    For Kolkata, Sauruv Ganguly claimed two wickets for 24 runs while Ishant Sharma, Moises Henriques and Ashok Dinda took one wicket each.
