Sialkot win fourth successive Twenty20 title
LAHORE: Sialkot Stallions won their fourth successive title in the National Twenty20 cricket tournament when they defeated Lahore Lions in an interesting final match here at the Gaddafi Stadium on Friday.
Chasing 151 runs, Silakot achieved the winning target losing six wickets with five balls to spare.
Qaiser Abbas, who struck the winning boundary off the first ball of the final over, was unbeaten on 47. He hit five fours and one six during his 31-ball innings.
Captain Imran Nazir top-scored with 57 runs from only 26 balls, the second fastest fifty in the tournament. He struck three sixes and six fours.
For Lahore Lions, their captain Abdul Razzaq claimed two wickets.
Earlier, Lahore Lions winning the toss and batting first made 150 for eight in the allotted 20 overs.
Imran Farhat was their main scorer, hitting 47 from 27 balls with two sixes and six fours.
