It is LG in the spotlight after Samsung announced its Omnia family. LG electronics, a worldwide technology and design leader in mobile communications announced the LG-GM730, LG’s newest Smartphone. The new mobile phone by LG is now available in Australian and Asian markets. The shipment to other parts of the world will be followed soon.

This is the first mobile phone in the market which uses new version of Windows Mobile OS integrated with LG’s advanced 3D S-Class User Interface. The company had signed a special contract with Microsoft few months ago. This contract allows them to be the first manufacturer of a mobile phone which will use the new version of Windows Mobile.

LG’s GM730 is the most functional and easiest to use Smartphone ever made as it combines the new version of Windows Mobile and LG’s 3D S-Class User Interface. “This phone is a springboard for us. We will launch a number of Smartphone this year; most of them will follow this same winning formula” stated Dr. Skott Ahn, President and CEO of LG Mobile Communications Company.

The S-Class User Interface is built around a 3D cube layout. This Interface provides four customizable home screens. To turn the cube a single touch of a finger is needed. S-Class User Interface provides more direct access to the features and applications as it eliminates the nested menus. A simple touch is all required to set up and e-mail. The inclusion of Internet Explorer 6.0 makes Web surfing the easiest of its kind.
