PCB responsible for losing WC hosting rights: Jilani
ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Sports Pir Aftab Jilani has held responsible Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for loosing the rights of hosting world cup matches.
He said those who run the matters of PCB are the actual responsible elements for losing the rights of hosting World Cup 2011 matches.
Briefing media following the meeting of sports board executive committee, Pir Aftab said sports ministry has selected hockey player Rehan Butt as the ‘Shaheed Bhutto Sports Man of the Year’ and announced reward of 10,00,000 rupees for him.
He said, in return of the demand of 35 billion rupees for sports’ development, the government has provided sports ministry with only 6.3 billion rupees for the current year so only six development projects will be accomplished in 2009.
