Pak-NZ series to be played in Emirates

KARACHI: Cricket series of four One-day Internationals and two Twenty20 matches between Pakistan and New Zealand will be played in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

In this regard, matters between Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and United Arab Emirates (UAE) have been finalized.

According to the PCB spokesman, the suggested schedule of the series is being sent to Cricket New Zealand and dates will be announced after its approval.

All the four matches of the ODI series between the two countries will be played in Abu Dhabi while both T20 matches will be held in Dubai.

It is expected that the Pak-New Zealand series will be held after the Champions Trophy and it will begin in third week of October and continue to the first week of November.

The PCB spokesman further said that chairman Ijaz Butt’s meeting with ICC Task Force chief Giles Clarke, ICC chief David Morgan and Cricket Australia chief Jack Clarke was positive and the ICC Task Force assured the PCB that international cricket activities in Pakistan may revive soon.
