Ubaadah Ibn Saamit (Radiallaho Anho) reportedthat Rasulullah (Sallallaho Alaihi Wassallam)one day said when Ramadhan had come near,The month of Ramadhan, the blessings has come upon you,wherein Allah (Subhanahu wa Taala) turns towards youand sends down to you His special blessing,forgives your faults,accepts Dua,appreciates your competing for the greatest goodand boasts to the angels about you.So show to Allah (Subhanahu wa Taala) your righteousness;for truly, the most pitiable and unfortunate one is he who isdeprived of Allah (Subhanahu wa Taala) 's mercy in this month.{ Reported by Tabraani }

Ibn Umer (Radiallaho Anho) relates,Rasulullah (Sallallaho Alaihi Wassallam) said:"Verily Allah (Subhanahu wa Taala) and HisAngels send blessings upon those who eat Sahoor".{ Al-Tabarani, Ibne-Hibban }
Note: How great is Allah (Subhanahu wa Taala) 's favor upon us
that even eating before dawn for fasting is so greatly rewarded.There are many Ahadith in which the virtues of Sahoor are explainedand the rewards promised. Allama al-Ainee-the commentator on theSaheeh of Bukhari has quoted the virtues of Sahoor from seventeendifferent Sahabah and all the Ulama are agreed on its being referred.
Many people are deprived of this great reward because of their ownlaziness.Some even go so far as to finish Taraweeh, eat some foodin lieu of Sahoor and go to bed. What great blessing do they lose!Because Sahoor actually means food eaten shortly before dawn.
