Obama arrives in Denmark on Olympic mission

COPENHAGEN: US President Barack Obama arrived in Copenhagen on Friday on a mission to help his hometown Chicago win the vote to host the 2016 Olympics.

Obama was seen arriving on Air Force One after an overnight flight from Washington to the Danish capital, where the International Olympic Committee will choose later Friday between Summer Games hopefuls Chicago, Rio de Janeiro, Madrid and Tokyo.

The president was to link up with his wife, First Lady Michelle Obama, who has already spent two days wooing IOC delegates and pressing Chicago''s case, in a high-powered final pitch for the gritty mid western city''s Olympic dream.
