Andres Palop has revealed his disbelief at Iker Casillas' save during Real Madrid's 2-1 defeat against Sevilla. The 'keeper pulled off a miraculous save to deny Diego Perotti in the second half, but could not stop los Blancos from eventually sliding to defeat.

The Nervionenses 'keeper described it as "sensational" to El Pais as he reflected on the game.

"I saw it and I couldn't believe it - I had my head in my hands," Palop revealed.

"It was a sensational save, one which every goalkeeper wants to do one day but only a privileged few are able to pull off."

The 35-year-old continued by saying that it would be "the save of the year" and will be "remembered for a long time. It had strength, power, reaction and an end result."

Palop added that Sevilla coach Manolo Jimenez should also receive credit for the way he approached the game at the weekend and hopes that the team can continue on their current path.

"Jimenez did what he had to do - he set up the match in a way that he knew we could do damage to Real Madrid and everything went perfectly.

"With the hunger that this team has and with the ambition and form that we are showing, we can take on anyone."
