Younis fans stage demo outside Gaddafi Stadium

LAHORE: The fans of Pakistan cricket Wednesday staged a protest demonstration in favour of skipper national cricket team Younis Khan, calling for resignation of Jamsheed Dasti and insisting Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to retain Younis as captain national team, Geo news reported.

The protesters were holding play cards and banners with slogans supporting Younis Khan and calling for resignation of Jamsheed Dasti, the chairman standing committee of National Assembly, source said.

According to details, they kept chanting slogans, saying Younis Khan is a national hero who led national team with spirit and enthusiasm to lift World Cup Twenty20 title but some of the elements want to defame him.

The urged upon chairman PCB Ejaz Butt not to accept Younis resignation and ratain him skipper national cricket side.
