National Games to be held in Peshawar in 2010: Syed Aqil

PESHAWAR: The Sports Minister of NWFP Syed Aqil Shah said 31st National Games will be held in Peshawar in 2010 and reports about change of venue are baseless.

Talking to Geo News here, Syed Aqil Shah said Pakistan Olympic Association had postponed the National Games after taking him into confidence, however, the games will be held in Peshawar.

The sports minister said a sports complex of international standard and international cricket stadium will be constructed in Regilalma area in Peshawar. He said we are in touch with PCB for the renovation of Arbab Niaz Stadium.
