KCCA awards gold medal to Aleem Dar

KARACHI: The Karachi City Cricket Association (KCCA) presented a gold medal to Aleem Dar for winning the ICC’s best umpire of the year award.

The gold medal presenting ceremony was held at the residence of Dr Mohammad Ali Shah, provincial minister for sports and president KCCA.

Aleem Dar said on this occasion that he wants to work on improving the department of umpiring in Pakistan.

He said that only in sports there are many departments which are needed to be worked dedicatedly.

Dr Mohammad Ali Shah said that Aleem Dar officiates as umpire with great confidence and he would be winning the best umpire award for further two years.

On this occasion, secretary KCCA Siraj-ul-Islam Bukhari, former manager Pakistan cricket team Azhar Zaidi, Test umpire Mehboob Shah and other personalities paid rich tributes to Aleem Dar.

In the end, Dr Mohammad Ali Shah decorated Aleem Dar with gold medal.
