Salman, Rehan fined for misconduct

KARACHI: The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has fined senior Olympians Rehan Butt and Salman Akbar for breach of discipline during Champions Challenge Hockey Cup in Argentine.

On the other hand, the national heroes were seen making photographs with some local girls in the presence of team�s officials.

Sources told Geo that Rehan Butt and Salman Akbar came late to their rooms after defeating India during the four-nation hockey tournament. As a result, the team management imposed fines of Rs25, 000 and Rs50, 000 on the players.

However, the PHF has not confirmed the incident.

The PHF Secretary Asif Bajwa said these photographers were taken at a dinner in the airport. One of the two women, who were seen in the photos, was team�s contact officer while the other woman was friend of her, he clarified.
