Mayweather-Pacquiao bout in jeopardy
NEW YORK: The most expensive fight to be held next year between US boxer Floyd Mayweather and Philippines Manny Pacquiao is looking in danger.
The fight was scheduled to be held on March 13 but Bob Arum, the promoter of Pacquiao, has exxpressed fear that the fight could be in serious jeopardy due to controversy in blood test.
Mayweather ahs blamed Pacquiao for using energising drugs and this sis why he was aviding blood test.
However, Pacquiaos promoter said that Pacquiao did not agree to Olympic Style testing which includes urine and blood sampling. Typical Olympic Style testing consists of 3-5 blood draws and 8-10 urine samples over a 10 urine samples over a 10 week period.
He said that Manny will submit to as many random urine tests requested. Regarding the blood tests, he will subject himself to three tests; one given in January during the week the fight is formally announced, one thirty days from the fight, no later than February 13, and the final one immediately following the fight, in Mannys locker room.
