Chief selector Iqbal Qasim quits
LAHORE: Iqbal Qasim, the chief selector of Pakistan cricket team, has tendered his resignation in the wake of the team''s dismal performance in Australia.
It may be mentioned here that Iqbal Qasim had said that post-mortem would be carried out over team’s disastrous performance in Australia.
Qasim, 56, had been appointed chairman of a new, restructured national selection committee in July last year, after the board had disbanded the national senior and junior selection committees the previous month.
