Healy elected new Tennis Australia president
SYDNEY: Lawyer Steve Healy was on Monday elected as the next President of Tennis Australia.
Healy, a Tennis Australia board member, defeated former Australian Open tournament director Paul McNamee in the election of the sport''s state association representatives in Melbourne, TA said.
Healy will take up the post in October from the retiring Geoff Pollard, who has held the position since 1989.
It was a second defeat for McNamee, who narrowly lost a ballot with Pollard last year.
