Windies win toss, put England into bat

PROVIDENCE, Guyana: West Indies captain Chris Gayle won the toss and put England into bat in their World Twenty20 Group D day-night match here at the Providence stadium.

England are playing the same side that beat South Africa in the warm-ups for this tournament.

Michael Lumb is making his international debut. Craig Kieswetter will open the batting while Ryan Sidebottom has replaced James Anderson.

For West Indies, Sulieman Benn has come back into the side while Andre Fletcher will be keeping wicket ahead of Denesh Ramdin.

Chris Gayle, who missed the hosts'' opening 70-run Group D win against Ireland with a
muscle strain, is now fit to take his place at the top of the order whereas tall slow left-armer Sulieman Benn was also recalled.

England selected left-arm quick Ryan Sidebottom ahead of fellow pace bowler James Anderson for what was their first match of the tourmanent proper, with the team unchanged from the one that beat South Africa in a warm-up match in Barbados last week.
